Hands down best show ever. My hero was Omar Little. He was the most memorable antihero protagonist ever created. He embodied everything I admire. He was a product of his environment but he had a moral compass with a true north and a fierce loyalty to the people he loved. He was highly intelligent and despite all the violence and ugliness that surrounded him, he was attuned to beauty and had a gentleness about him. He took no crap and was quick to point out hypocrisy, like when he testified for the prosecution against Webay. The defense attorney whose pockets were lined with drug money underestimated his intelligence. I knew he wasn’t going to make it out alive and I was always on edge trying to prepare myself for the day he would meet his end. I miss Omar Little and the world lost an incredible talent with the death of Michael K. Williams.

The other characters who broke my heart: D’Angelo who could have been anything in life. Dukie who never stood a chance. Wallace who just wanted out.

P.S. I took in this stray chihuahua mix and named him Omar. Cuz he rip n run.
