I agree and wish that as a species, we were wired to behave this way. I’m doing my best to work on my side of things, especially on Jews in the US who are either ignorant or worse- willfully ignorant about the narrative they’ve been fed by the Israeli propaganda machine. In that sense, they are like MAGA because their identity as Jews is inseparable from their relationship to Israel. Anything challenging that deeply held belief creates cognitive dissonance that can’t be overcome. If everyone in your family and community holds these beliefs, then questioning them puts you at risk of losing your place within that community.
