I honestly don’t understand what you’re talking about. I personally haven’t met anyone who’s singled out Clarence Thomas as the focus of Roe rage, aside from the fact that the only time Thomas opens his mouth, it’s to say something utterly stupid. Should we ignore his comments or his stupid trophy wife’s involvement in the January 6 insurrection because he’s a Black man? What Black man would stand a chance of being appointed to the Supreme Court by a Republican President who hadn’t completely internalized racism to the point that he’s all in and then some? You want to put the blame on white women who voted for Trump, I’m with you all the way. Last I heard, there were hundreds of people protesting in front of Brett Kavanaugh’s house in Chevy Chase. If you look at the photos, you’ll see mostly white female faces. I get the rage, but not what I’ve done to incur your anger. I’ve never voted for a Republican since I was old enough to vote in 1980. I’ve protested. I’ve screamed and shouted at conservatives until I was blue in the face. Do you think brown folks are any different? A Mexican born woman who worked in the field’s alongside her immigrant parents just got elected to congress. She’s a Republican who believes the election was stolen. The GOP lizard people are beside themselves. They got themselves a live one. This is the country we live in. This is what it’s about. Remember, This is Not Who We Are??? 🤣 it’s who we are and who we’ve always been. You can’t fight stupid. You can’t fight willful ignorance. It’s the cultural ethos and every immigrant group that assimilates forgets the discrimination they faced the minute they’re allowed to join the club. This is a conservative country full of creepy religious fundamentalists espousing a filthy ideology of white supremacy masquerading as faith. I agree with you wholeheartedly that white women are to blame for overturning Roe as they are to blame for the election of every Republican president. Because this is a conservative, racist country and a patriarchal society. I just object to being lumped in with a demographic I despise that despises me in return. How much love do you imagine exists for educated people? And by educated, I’m not necessarily referring to college educated. I mean people who are students of history, science, politics who can think critically, whose worldview isn’t shaped by conservative religion, blind patriotism, and propaganda? Sure, I look at the pussy hats and roll my eyes until I get a migraine. But most protests are little more than theater anyway. What do you suggest when people don’t even bother to vote? And many of the ones who do, vote against their own interests? How am I supposed to support the poor Latina women in the Rio Grande Valley - the ones who will most be impacted by these draconian policies when they’re sending a right winger to congress? Clearly, this woman represents the conservative values of the constituency, which are anti abortion and pro militarization of the border region. At some point, maybe we get the government we deserve.

Photography, you have always been a jealous bride. I will always love you — I’m just no longer in love.
