Thanks for taking the time to both comment and miss the point entirely.
- My response was a comment on Trump’s handling of the Coronavirus outbreak in the US. Four months and more than 150,000 deaths later, cases continue to rise — especially in rural areas and states with high population densities of stupid. Trump’s handling of the pandemic throughout can be described as incompetent at best, and as a depraved indifference to humanity at worst.
- While early test results from several different labs appear promising, we’re still months away from getting a vaccine — even if it’s fast tracked and then global distribution will take a long time. In the meantime, the global economy has been wrecked and will take a long time to recover. Billions of kids world-wide are missing out on critical education, which will be both difficult to make up and have long-term generational repercussions.
- You can’t compare the 2000 glitch in the matrix paranoia of Y2K with the multiple realities of 2020: climate change will result in continued mass migration, political instability, zoonotic diseases like Coronavirus, authoritarianism, civil wars, etc., etc. This isn’t a doom and gloom hypothetical. It’s already happening.
- Good news though — there’s always masturbation and video games to distract you from reality.
