That would be like telling Black people in the United States to think about the present and the future and stop whining about the past. You make assertions but omit context. You’re presenting your argument through a one-sided view. I also don’t

I don’t believe anyone who claims to be on one side or the other. What does it mean to be pro-Israel other than repeating the same 3-4 talking points? Does being pro Israel mean you support and condone its policies unconditionally?

Regardless of your feelings, there is a giant imbalance of power between an occupying force that receives billions of dollars in annual military aid from the world’s biggest superpower and a territory that doesn’t even have a military. You neglect to mention that Hamas was elected in 2006. Gaza has one of the youngest populations in the world so the majority of Gazans living today would have been too young to have voted or not yet born. Meanwhile, Israel has held, how many? Six elections in over a 6 or 7 year period and has the most extreme right wing government in its 78 year history.

There were, and are moderate Palestinian politicians who were repeatedly sidelined by Netanyahu who nurtured Hamas for both personal and political gain. So you either intentionally neglect to mention that Netanyahu was fully cognizant of what Hamas was and allowed it to evolve or you’re unaware of this, which means you might want to consider doing more research. A great place to start would be with this recent NYT three-part investigative piece. This could potentially calibrate some of your opinions. Since you’ve already poured over countless articles, what’s one more?

Photography, you have always been a jealous bride. I will always love you — I’m just no longer in love.
