This is the most excited I’ve been about a film release in a very long time. I was a huge fan of the original 1968 film. Compared to the reboot, it was more chilling and prescient, which just shows that special effects and CGI can’t win over great storytelling. And at least in 1968, Charlton Heston hadn’t completely lost his mind to become a shill for the NRA. After the reboot, I lost interest so I wasn’t even aware the sequel trilogy was worth the watch. But I trust your opinion. And now I have something to look forward to!
