Years ago, I read Dog Language by Roger Abrantes, which was like Rosetta Stone for canines. I have an above average fluency in Dog. I have this funny little dachshund terrier chihuahua mixed bag who wakes me up every morning by feverishly licking my face. I know all of her favorite spots to be scratched: under the chin, behind the ear, upturned rump (the absolute favorite spot).
