Say you were able to buy a house at 23 and have all the things, do you honestly believe you’d be any better or different? You do realize that when you’re talking about the generation that bought houses at 23, you’re talking about an era the MAGATS envision as having been great: you owned a home and a car and the hubster went to work every day while the wife stayed at home and took care of the kiddos and cooked and cleaned and ate a lot of Valium and did a lot of day-drinking to keep from completely losing their minds. There were no out-of-the-closet gay people and the Negro understood his place in the white Christian patriarchy. Boomers fought against that shit. Boomers fighting Boomers.
