You’re like so many American Jews - raised in mostly middle and upper class Jewish neighborhoods. Reminds me of a central New York suburban neighborhood we lived in for a few years growing up. Everyone was proudly and unquestionably pro-Israel and why wouldn’t we be? Imagine all the nebbishy American Jewish boys and girls going on that Jewish Federation sponsored trip to Israel and everyone from the doctor to the policeman to the hot IDF soldiers to the garbage collectors - all of them Jews! And then there was Masada and Yad Vashem and the Wailing Wall to further cement the narrative.

So why let a little thing like genocide get in the way of that fantasy now? I guess the truth would shatter your illusion and your entire identity as a Jew since it’s so inextricably tied to your unwavering belief in the Jewish apartheid state.

You insist that your non Jewish ex-friends tried to tell you how to feel about Israel but I don’t think you were listening because had you been listening, you would have realized they were telling you how they felt. They were probably just confused as to why you your progressive values didn’t seem to apply when it came to Israel.

I cringe every day because, yes, antisemitism is on the rise but listening to out and proud pro-genocide Jews like you makes it somewhat understandable. I mean, I’ve gotten to the point where I can’t stand Jews. And I’m Jewish.

Photography, you have always been a jealous bride. I will always love you — I’m just no longer in love.
